Today I was actually pretty productive around the house (a little bit of motivation from the phrase "company's coming" didn't hurt!) I did five loads of laundry, cleaned the bathroom (the toilet and floor anyway), ran the dishwasher, vacuumed the basement and living room, and moved the piles from the floor to the couch (okay, so not PERFECT, but a SLIGHT improvement!).
My aunt, uncle, and cousins who live in Tennessee stopped by my house on their way to my other relatives' house. They will be having Thanksgiving dinner there tomorrow while I am at work. I need to go make my "cheesy potatoes" for my Thanksgiving dinner at the hospital, so am going to cheat a little and re-post some of my post from last year .
Thank today whom you may not be able to thank tomorrow...
Forgive today whom you may not be able to forgive tomorrow....
Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire.
If you did, what would there be to look forward to?
Be thankful when you don't know something, for it gives you the opportunity to learn.
Be thankful for the difficult times. During those times you grow.
Be thankful for your limitations, because they give you opportunities for improvement.
Be thankful for each new challenge, because it will build your strength and character.
Be thankful for your mistakes. They will teach you valuable lessons.
Be thankful when you're tired and weary, because it means you've made a difference.
It's easy to be thankful for the good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are also thankful for the setbacks.
Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles, and they can become your blessings.
True wealth is the blessings you see in your life.
True wealth is the blessings you give to others.
True wealth is what you give, not what you have or get...
Happy Thanksgiving! I have so much to be thankful for, especially for all the blessings I have received this past year.
