Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. ~Leo Buscaglia
I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good thing, therefore, that I can do, or any kindness I can show to any fellow human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer nor neglect it for I shall not pass this way again. ~Stephen Grellet

It's Halloween!

These pictures didn't turn out that great, but they were the only ones I have. I think my lady bug costume turned out pretty well. I got the glasses from a patient, and didn't wear them all day long. I am wearing a red scrub top and black scrub pants. I bought self-adhesive felt (which I didn't know existed!) and cut out circles. I had a wrap-type headband and twisted a pipe cleaner around it (with a little help from a co-worker!) So, I was comfortable AND cute! :o) I did get quite a few compliments, so that's always fun :o)

I started off with 29 spots
(because when I was little, we counted spots to see how old they were!)
It looks like I may have lost a couple!

Last year I dressed as Dora the Explorer.
The year before, I didn't work, but I went to the parade as some sort of Doodlebop relative.

I missed quite a bit of the parade since I was busy, but the kids I saw looked really cute. They paraded them around a few floors, and people from different departments handed out goodies. There was even some media coverage, which is really neat

Well, it's only 9:30, but I'm TIRED (it's HARD to stay awake all day long when you are used to sleeping in, taking naps, or both!)

Good night!
(If you happen to stop by Kristy's blog tomorrow, be sure to wish her a Happy Birthday!!)
