AND I had places to go, but no one to take my picture! Okay, maybe that is a downside to "flying solo", I'm willing to admit that, but still enjoy my freedom and "alone time".
I wore a dress I had only worn one other time. I borrowed my mom's new boots. I spent time on my hair and make-up. I thought I looked pretty good (considering I have 5-15 pounds to lose anyway). Unfortunately, I didn't get ready in time to stop by my parents' house to have one of them photograph me in "all my cuteness". I thought there would be people to ask, but there wasn't (and I wouldn't REALLY want a stranger taking a solo picture!).
So, WHERE was I going?! I went to the premier screening of an independent film. I was an extra when the movie was filmed here last summer. I wrote about it in this post. I was looking forward to seeing how they edited my scene as well as what the story really was about. I also thought that I would see one of the stars of the film that I talked to quite a bit during the day of filming (I thought she was a very nice person and an EXCELLENT actress!). As far as "my" scene...my backside definitely was visible (how can it not be, it is quite large these days!) and that was pretty cool. The other extras I worked with had nearly visible faces. I did not see the actress, but did see the couple that was responsible for "locations" and talked to them briefly. I was very impressed with the movie as a whole and am excited to see how far it goes. They will be taking it to film festivals and see what happens.
Unfortunately, the movie ran a little longer than I expected, so I was late to church. I sat and prayed in the "cry room" until Mass was over and then lit a couple of candles for all the people I have in my prayers. After that, I went to the choir "Christmas Party". That is always a fun time with good conversation (even though the past couple of years, I have gone home with a bottle of wine as my gift and someone always asks about my ID...okay, I'm 28 now...just because sometimes I look like I'm about 15!...) The food was good too.
I finally decided to update my profile to add more "details" about me. I'll have to re-read it during the coming days and see if I like it. It is getting rather close to 10:00 and I was sleepy before 8:00 (how that can be when I have had HOW many days off and didn't get up until nearly 10 this morning is a mystery to me...it's the truth though, so I'm headed to bed soon!).
