Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. ~Leo Buscaglia
I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good thing, therefore, that I can do, or any kindness I can show to any fellow human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer nor neglect it for I shall not pass this way again. ~Stephen Grellet

Skipped Shred for Social

So, after a shift that is best summed as "sucky", she (that is, me) set out to see if a social setting could save the "suckiness". She was served some cold yet satisfying supper and sat to see (hear) what's shaking with said staff (co-workers). She spoke silly stuff and shot the (what's that phrase?!) and stayed 'til Seamus (and she) sought sleep.

So, she skipped her shred for social, but also skipped some sleep.

She slept so soundly yet so so short. Still, she surmised this shift was sure to be superior.

So sorry, sir (er, lady), super sh**** is on the schedule for the second shift. "Sweet", she says. Start over?!

Stupid shift. Shred not skipped. Still sleepy. Should be sleeping.

Substitution please...tomorrow SHOULD be superior...right?!

Crazy Crabby lady cannot sustain subsequent shifts of "suckiness".

Sleep, sleep, sleep.
