--your life does not suck.
Well, I don't think that I REALLY thought my life was that bad, but my writing the past few days have some pretty icky feelings running through them. I DO, however, strongly believe that journaling is an excellent coping mechanism. I journal nightly, although my "paper journal" has had some shorter entries since I started writing here. Just putting my thoughts out there can change how I feel, or how I deal with my feelings. In fact, yesterday after I posted, I felt SO much better, and the churning in my stomach slowed. (I felt even better still after I took a nap and finally talked to my friend, even though she is in a very rough situation that makes me sad).
I did manage to get all of my "bad thoughts" out here and leave them at home. Today was a pretty crazy day at work (4 kids got blood, 2 kids had procedures, another couple on frequent monitoring for various reasons and we only had 12 patients and 4 nurses!). I managed to keep a positive attitude and had a good day. While others were crabby at times, I kept my smile (of course, I HAVE only worked 2 days out of the past twelve, so had NO reason whatsoever to be crabby!). I think I'm even ready to go back tomorrow!
I'd better get some gifts prepared for tomorrow, and then head to bed because "day two" could be a bit more challenging after so many days off!
