Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. ~Leo Buscaglia
I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good thing, therefore, that I can do, or any kindness I can show to any fellow human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer nor neglect it for I shall not pass this way again. ~Stephen Grellet

Getting There

Well, I probably should be typing up the agenda for my meeting that was supposed to be sent today rather than typing a blog post but...I am not (obviously!). I have been working on getting the papers organized for that, though, so hopefully it won't take me very long to get it sent tomorrow when I get off work.

This morning, I went to Mass at my high school for their annual Memorial Mass for friends and family of alums who have passed away this year. There was a little breakfast afterword. My dad was out of town this weekend, so my mom came to Mass there and she ate with me (she was being "weird" again last night but not so much today which is, again, kinda "weird" but...whatever)

I had talked to my friend from Curves (who no longer works at Curves, so she needs a new description...ha!) about going to get pedicures this afternoon even though I am trying to get my house in order for all the fun November activity that involves other people coming to my house.

She offered to come help me which was SO great! I picked up things and put things away while she shredded a bunch of papers that should not have been a stressor for me, but not having to do it was like weight was removed. I didn't get a WHOLE lot done since I was chatting, but having someone else here made a big difference in my ability to stay focused (although I'm still "a little" ADHD and have a hard time focusing on one task and see it through to completion...) When my shredder needed a break, we went to a late lunch/early dinner. After that, I "needed" a nap and she took the rest of the shredding home with her.

I went and visited my mom since my sister, brother-in-law, and nephew were there for dinner and ended up staying longer than I had planned (of course!) So, I got a little bit of stuff done when I got home (uploading pictures to facebook and writing a blog post took priority over some things!). And, I'm not TOO tired since I took that nap, so maybe I'll do a few more things before I go to bed. I work the next three days, so it will be pretty busy (I have been working on a post from when I went to the Selah/Avalon concert and can't believe how long it has taken me...the "hype" will have fizzled by the time I finally get around to finishing it!)

Good night!
