Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. ~Leo Buscaglia
I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good thing, therefore, that I can do, or any kindness I can show to any fellow human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer nor neglect it for I shall not pass this way again. ~Stephen Grellet

Just One of the Reasons...

working with kids is SO much fun...

Today was my second of three days in a row. So, I pretty much knew who my patients would be. I carefully picked out my "scrubs" for the day accordingly...Cherries (red, pink, purple, white, and green ones!) and Lady Bugs (with red pants)

When my five-year-old patient was offered her choice of dresses for the day, she decided her dress with cherries would be perfect..."coincidentally", blue is her favorite color which not only was the background color of my shirt, but also of her dress...gotta love that!

She later pointed out how soft my hair was and told me it was VERY pretty and that she liked it very much. (I definitely let my sister know about that one!)

Aww, I love kids! (Too bad I can't remember all the funny things she said today, but she kept me laughing!) My other little patient was a super cute little two-year old that I had to refrain from smothering with kisses (you know, that whole "germ" thing...ha!). She definitely made me smile too.

Still needed quite a bit of coffee to make it through the day...however, I managed to get up early enough to stop by and grab a Starbucks at the grocery store on the way to work! Not sure what I will do tomorrow, but I definitely think I should be heading to bed!

Good night.
