Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. ~Leo Buscaglia
I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good thing, therefore, that I can do, or any kindness I can show to any fellow human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer nor neglect it for I shall not pass this way again. ~Stephen Grellet

Listening to the Lyrics

I enjoyed the weekend with my family celebrating my cousin's wedding. I got my hair done in a salon and had lots of compliments (it did look really cute). I took quite a few pictures and will post some soon.

In the mean time, I thought it was a good time to post the lyrics to a song I've been listening to a lot. The teen shared it with me a while back and told me she really liked it. I liked how it sounded, but it took me a while to actually listen to the lyrics. Once I did, I knew why she liked it so much...and I do too.

I texted her this afternoon and that was the first time we'd talked since Thursday. She said that her mom is using her favorite "no more Amanda" line which she always forgets about eventually, but the waiting and not knowing is hard. I have tickets to a baseball game on Tuesday, so hopefully the ban on seeing me is lifted before then. I love her so much and this is so tough for both of us...

He Said (Group 1 Crew featuring Chris August)
So your life feels like it don't make sense
And you think to yourself, "I'm a good person,
So why do these things keep happening?"
Why you gotta deal with them
You may be knocked down now, but don't forget
What He said, He said

"I won't give you more
More than you can take
And I might let you bend
But I won't let you break
And know, I'll never, ever let you go"
Don't you forget what He said
Don't you forget what He said, He said

Who you are ain't what you're going through
So don't let it get the best of you
'Cause God knows everything you need
So you ain't gotta worry
You may be knocked down now, but just believe what He said

He said "I won't give you more
More than you can take
And I might let you bend
But I won't let you break
And know I'll never ever let you go"
Don't you forget what He said

Don't fear when you go through the fire
Hang on when it's down to the wire
Stand tall and remember what He said

"I won't give you more
More than you can take
And I might let you bend
But I won't let you break"

"I won't give you more
More than you can take
And I might let you bend
But I won't let you break
And know I'll never ever let you go"
Don't you forget what He said

Don't you forget what He said.
