Seriously, I have felt SO loved and that really made this week that much more bearable!
Not only did these people ask me how I was doing, they genuinely wanted to know. Not once did someone cut me off when I went into the "well, I miss them because of this and that and some moments are harder than others and watching SVU wasn't at all the same and I didn't think I would miss them this soon, but I do, etc." sort of babble. While "no one" could really understand what I was going through, everyone can see how hard it would be and knew the importance of asking.
Gosh I have amazing friends and a terrific family...and they all came out in "full force" this week which was exactly what I needed :)
I emailed the teen last night because she got something in the mail that looked like a letter or an invitation of some sort. I let her know that I'd open it if she needed to see it or plan to drop it off at the school on Monday or Tuesday. Of course, I threw in an "I miss you" and signed it "Love" like I always did. Much to my (pleasant) surprise, there was a response when I checked my email before work this morning. She said she knew what the letter was about and that I could bring it to school next week. She said the lap top I bought her is broken and she wanted to know where to get it fixed. Then, she wrote "Miss u to" and "Hi turtle soup" from the little one which is total inside joke for us. :) That was exactly what I needed to remind me that "things will be ok"...
Thanks to anyone who's reading who helped me "feel the love" this week...I really appreciate you :)
